Meet our founder
Yara
As a German-Brazilian yoga teacher, Yara brings a rich, international perspective infused with passion and expertise. With over 15 years of personal practice and 10 years of teaching, she has cultivated a thriving yoga and Pilates community in Scarborough, featuring over 20 dedicated instructors and 60 classes each week.
For more than six years, Yara has led her studio, creating a welcoming environment where people from all walks of life can connect, grow, and thrive. Her teaching style is characterized by inclusivity, empowerment, and an experiential focus, blending physical movement, breathwork, and meditation to create a nourishing experience.
Drawing on her background in dance and an interest in psychology, Yara supports her students in developing self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience. She has had the privilege of learning from esteemed teachers such as Patrick Beach and Carling Harps and has assisted multiple yoga instructors, including Meghan Currie, in their training programs. This experience deepens her understanding of effective teaching and enhances her skills as a mentor.
With over 1000 hours of training, Yara is not only equipped to guide students on their yoga journeys but is also dedicated to mentoring new teachers, nurturing the next generation of instructors in a supportive and enriching atmosphere.
